OF FBWLOC

After retiring from public office. Senator Tanner realized that it is critical to reach back and push forward young Black female leadership in our community.  In order to address this need, she established the Senator Gloria Tanner Leadership and Training Institute for Future Black Women Leaders of Colorado.

The purpose of this institute is to identify, prepare, educate and encourage Black Women to take on the challenge of leadership in the public and private sectors.  The Institute is the first of its kind in Colorado with the commitment to identify Black Women across the state and prepare them to run for elected office, to seek an appointment and/or advancement in the Corporate/political arenas.
